The Seasonal Table

A week-long culinary retreat at the farm

Welcome to The Seasonal Table — a week in which we come together to cook, harvest, and create collective mealsfrom the bounty of the land. Anchored in the rhythm of the farm, this retreat invites you to slow down, reconnect with nature, and let your creativity rise through food.

Here, in the heart of a flourishing vegetable garden and among local producers, we will imagine and compose a shared menu — day by day — using what grows around us. Every ingredient, every recipe, every taste will carry the story of place, seasonality, and care.

The retreat will take place at La Ferme du Brouage — a working farm surrounded by a vast garden, orchards, and open fields.
Participants will stay in comfortable shared or private rooms within the farmhouse or its renovated outbuildings.

A large communal kitchen and welcoming dining spaces — both indoor and outdoor — will be available.
The farm is an ideal setting for walking, reflecting, and enjoying quiet moments close to nature.

A professional chef will guide each step of the process — from idea to plate — sharing knowledge, techniques, and a creative approach to cooking.
We will also welcome local farmers and artisans to share their practices and stories, strengthening the connection from soil to table.

Throughout the week, participants will be invited to:
  • Harvest and gather daily from the garden, orchards, and nearby fields
  • Design and co-create the daily menu together, guided by a chef
  • Learn cooking techniques focused on seasonal, plant-based cuisine
  • Explore food storytelling — how taste, memory, and landscape connect
  • Share meals and conversations around a long communal table
  • Take time to rest, walk, write, or simply observe
  • Meet local producers and discover their practices and craftsmanship

This retreat welcomes anyone wishing to deepen their relationship with food — whether you are a cook, gardener, artist, or simply a curious eater.
